Project Team: Biological Advisory Team

Members of the Biological Advisory Team (BAT) were appointed by the Hays County Commissioners' Court, the landowner members of the Citizens Advisory Committee, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to provide expert scientific advice in the development of the Hays County Conservation Plan. The BAT was formed in accordance with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code regulating the development of regional HCPs by local governments. The landowner members of the Citizens Advisory Committee appoint at least one member of the BAT. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department also appoints at least one member to the BAT, who serves as chair of the BAT.

The BAT is charged with providing guidance to Hays County and the consultant team to help ensure that species covered by the HCP are adequately protected.

BAT meetings are open to the public, and agendas and meeting notes will be posted on this page as they become available.
